Greetings REMCO Members

Happy Easter, Happy Mother’s Day and Happy Memorial Day! It’s hard to believe the year is moving so quickly.

Tax season was a challenge with all the changes due to the OBBB. I hope a lot of you benefited from these changes. This bill has some additional changes for 2026, so look forward to those.

I’m sad to announce the resignation of Lola Barnett as our Past President. Life has gotten in the way, and she has made the decision to no longer participate on our Board. She will continue to be a REMCO member. We all wish her well and thank her for her years of service to REMCO. Gloria Keene will now assist with reservations. Please see her information in another section of the newsletter.

New retirees, that have made the decision to join REMCO, will now receive a free lunch ticket for the first membership meeting after they retire. We have sent the first set of lunch tickets to new members. If you receive one, make your reservation now. We look forward to seeing you at our next meeting.

I will be out of town during our next membership meeting. Gloria Keene has offered to take my place and run the meeting. Thank you Gloria!

I know with gas prices rising, we are probably going to curtail some of our travel plans for the rest of the year. This is a great opportunity to suggest some group trips that REMCO can sponsor and save you some money.
